Hanson Brick helps build a $439,000 dream home

Hanson Brick, North America's largest brick manufacturer, is donating approximately 19,000 Winslow brick to the 2009 St. Jude Dream Home(R), valued at approximately $439,000, in Flower Mound, Texas. This is the sixth annual St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in the Dallas area, and the 19th year St. Jude has partnered with leading builders and suppliers to build beautiful homes nationwide to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This year, St. Jude has joined forces with Graham Hart Home Builder, a renowned builder throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, to utilize its suppliers, sub-contractors and vendors for the home being built in the Belle Creek Village Community in Flower Mound. Hanson Brick is donating brick from its Mineral Wells, Texas facility, with an approximate value of $6,000.

"Hanson is honored to participate in both raising money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and showcasing our product in a beautiful home that will contribute to the Belle Creek Village Community," said Bob Christensen, president of Hanson Building Products East Region.

The goal of each St. Jude Dream Home is to build a beautiful, quality home at the lowest cost possible in order to raise more funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This requires not only skilled builders, but also quality, cost-effective products. Consisting of four bedrooms and three and a half baths, the St. Jude Dream Home will total more than 3,500 square feet and include state-of-the-art features and appliances. Tickets are available for $100 and the St. Jude Dream Home house winner will be announced June 27 at 6:00 p.m. (CST) on NBC 5. Other prizes are available and home tours will begin May 23.
